MDTalks ("we") runs the MDTalks app. This policy explains what we collect and why.

What we collect

• Account data: email address, password (stored only as a salted hash), username, name.
• Profile data you choose to add: bio, profile photo, social usernames, website, interests.
• Content: posts, comments, likes, follows, and reports you submit.
• Device data: a push notification token, device name and OS version, if you allow notifications.
• Feedback you send us, and an email address if you include one.

How we use it

To run the service: show your profile and posts, deliver notifications, keep the community safe (review reports, enforce the Terms), and answer support requests. Post text may be sent to an AI provider to check it for abusive content and to suggest edits when you ask for it. We do not sell your data, show ads, or track you across other apps or websites.

Who can see it

Your profile, posts and comments are public to other MDTalks users. Your email, settings and device data are never shown to other users.

Service providers

Hosting (OVH, EU), push delivery (Google Firebase Cloud Messaging and Apple Push Notification service), and AI text checks (OpenRouter). They process data only to provide these services.

Retention and deletion

We keep your data while your account exists. You can delete your account at any time in the app: Profile → Settings → Delete Account. This permanently deletes your profile, posts, comments, likes, follows and device tokens.

Children

MDTalks is not intended for children under 13.
